Understanding is neither intellectual nor emotional nor verbal nor sentimental. It is not of logic – and you must have logic and intellect. When you are emotionally excited, there is no question of understanding. Understanding comes only when the intellect and emotions are in abeyance, when your mind is very quiet, neither saying it is right or wrong, neither accepting or rejecting, neither conforming or not conforming.
