I watch my thinking and my thoughts are ugly or beautiful or noble or… something, and I am different from the thought. As long as the difference exists between the thinker and the thought, there must be conflict, because I am always doing something about it, trying to understand it, trying to break it down, trying to examine it, trying to suppress it, and so on. But is thought different from the thinker? Obviously not. Thought is not different from the thinker; thought has invented the thinker. So there is nothing to understand about thought.
